(filming in Trotsky's House location in Coyoacan, DF)
The First Russian Network TV Series "Trotsky", about the life and death of the Soviet revolutionary, Leon Trotsky. Trotsky was assassinated in 1940, while living in Mexico City at his final years.
PP Producitons organized the Mexican part of the TV series, filming for 7 days in January 2017. Most of the filming took part in the old town of Coyoacan, Trotsky's area of living. The crew consisted of about 80 persons, and production included blocking whole intersections of the old town, 100 year old cars, and dozens background actors. We even blocked an area in the very busy Coyoacan town center for a very cinematic "Day of the Dead Parade" which we created using the help of props created for the famous "Spectre" movie in the James Bond series.

The show stars Konstantin Khabensky (Wanted, Night Watch, Day Watch, World War Z), and Maxim Matveen (Hipsters), and Mexico's star cast included Silverio Palacios (The Legend of Zorro), and Javier Escobar (Apocalypto, Colombiana).
We even had several scenes with "Frida Kahlo" driving the Coyoacan Streets.
